I mentioned in an earlier post that some people at Molly’s work are collecting bottle caps in order to get a grant for someone’s chemotherapy.
Today I came across an article about residents in West Virginia who found out that there is no such program. Upon further searching, I found a site that gives more detail about the plastic bottle caps for chemo treatments myth.
It’s either a hoax or a great scheme for collecting Pepsi Stuff and My Coke Rewards points. If it’s the latter, I take a little satisfaction in knowing that I’ve already used all the points on the caps we collected and passed on.
