Simply Simmered General Tso's Chicken

I cooked up some fried rice and placed the contents of this package alongside it for a a quick asian dinner. Unfortunately, this product tastes nothing like General Tso’s Chicken. I don’t know if they mixed up the packaging or what, but it tasted like BBQ Chicken.

The chicken was tender and it was really easy to prepare. It tasted like it would do well with some white bread as a sandwich, but it clashed horribly with my fried rice.

If you are looking for some quick asian cuisine, I suggest you look somewhere else.

I’d give you some tips on how you could make it for yourself but I’ve never had General Tso’s chicken, so I can’t!

i love that you do reviews like this! this is the stuff i wanna know!!

lately i have been trying to bring some prepared lunches to work with me so i can take a 30 minute lunch and go home at 4:30 (which ends up making a WORLD of difference to my day!). josh and i both tried out a couple and my favorite brand of dinner has been Marie Callender’s. have you had these? i’d like to know your thoughts :)

I’ve only had Marie Callender’s Stuffed Pasta Medley. It was really good. Most italian frozen meals have pretty gross tomato sauce, but this one was an exception. It had a side of broccoli that was pitiful, but I was filled enough by the pasta.

I have to admit that most of my frozen lunchtime meals are some form of pizza. Today, I have a Hot Pockets Calzone. Other favorites include Stouffer’s Margherita Flatbread and Lean Cuisine Supreme Pizza.
