There was a little snow on the car when I set out for work this morning. On the way, a snowflake here and there turned into a light flurry. These are welcome signs that the holidays are coming. I am more than ready for them.
Molly has been pushing for us to keep our heat off at home. I made a compromise and turned the heat on, but kept the thermostat set at about 60 degrees. This morning, I heard the heat kick on for the first time, which means that the temperature in our apartment got below 60 degrees. It was ridiculous.
I’m all for saving money, but I prefer to keep my toes from getting frostbitten by spending a little to heat our home. Molly is taking the day off from work, so she’ll be spending a lot of time in our igloo. By the time I get home, I think I’ll be able to persuade her that we should turn the thermostat up.
