A co-worker told me about “Free Night of Theater” which made available some free tickets to see a musical or play by logging on to their site on October 3rd. I told Molly about it and said that I would see if there was anything she would be interested in. Unfortunately, I forgot all about it and went out for lunch on the 3rd. When I came back, my co-worker told me he got two tickets to see Into The Woods, which just happens to be Molly’s favorite musical of all time. Fortunately, we got an invitation to go see Into The Woods with SCK. So, it all worked out in the end.

After work Wednesday night, Molly and I ate at Bricco for dinner. We shared risotto balls stuffed with pancetta and smoked mozzerella over marinara for an appetizer. For the main course, we shared a pizza topped with grilled tenderloin steak, caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes, and boursin cheese cream sauce. The pizza was pretty good, but the risotto balls were the highlight of the dinner for me. I would definitely get them again. We only ate half our pizza, but Bricco was cool enough to keep our leftovers for us until after the musical.

I’ve had some exposure to Into The Woods before, so I knew that there were songs I liked ("Agony,” “I Guess This Is Goodbye") and parts that I hated (the Witch’s song in “Prologue"). Yet, I was quite unprepared for the Wolf’s song ("Hello, Little Girl"); It was a little too pedophiliac for me, especially since the wolf had a gaudy codpiece. Overall, it was a great production. The sets were impressive and the actors were more than sufficient.

Saturday night, Molly and I went to Red Lobster for their Endless Shrimp. If you go, you must try the coconut shrimp bites. I’m not normally a big fan of coconut, but these things were amazing. They start out sweet and end up spicy. It’s like a flavorful adventure. On the downside, I at too much and woke up kind of sick in the middle of the night. At the time, I wasn’t sure I would ever want to eat shrimp again, but I had some tasty leftover shrimp Alfredo for lunch today.

Not much else happened over the weekend. We took it pretty easy. I watched a couple movies and got back into playing Super Mario Galaxy. We had beautiful weather yesterday and enjoyed it by going to a church picnic and taking a nice long walk in the afternoon.
