This weekend, Molly and I tried our hands at being creative.
First, we made candy. We melted down white chocolate, mixed in food coloring, and poured it into some molds. Sounds simple enough, but I was horrible at it. Molly was much better and enjoyed it enough to make some more Saturday night. We ended up taking them to the fall fellowship on Sunday.
Molly got me a painting kit for Christmas or my birthday, I’m not sure which. It’s turned into this sort of love/hate activity of mine. I have no idea what I am painting, but I really like just spreading the paint over the canvas. So, all weekend, I have been slowly adding different elements to the picture. I’ll post a picture of it on here when I’m done.
We’ve been looking at an apartment in Sheffield with quite some interest over the past week. It’s nicer and bigger then our current place, but not in all the ways we would want. There is a lot more storage area and kitchen space, but the master bedroom is smaller. Molly has been laying out floor plans in Excel. I think we’ve determined that everything will still fit, but she wants to know where everything is going before we move there. I haven’t thought about it until now, but maybe I’ll tell her about Google Sketchup.
