Autumn in Pennsylvania

Molly and I went to visit my family in PA this weekend.

Saturday

We went to Penn's Cave, America's only all water cavern. I had been there once before, when I was younger, but all I remembered was the mountain taffy.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by some ruffians.

It was ok, though. We made it past them without a scratch.

It was dark.

Afterward, we went and had a wonderful meal at the Whistle Stop Restaurant in Centre Hall.

I had a Snydertown Station ($6.95), which is made of mushrooms and artichoke smothered in cheese on a thick slice of bread. We also had some PRR Spikes ($4.25) as an appetizer (that's steak fries topped with cheddar cheese, bacon bits, green onions and sour cream). It was great fare, especially for the price.

After lunch, we went to the Aaronsburg Fall Festival and walked around.

Sunday

Dad, Daniel, Molly, and I went to a corn maze in Lewisburg.

Daniel started out walking ahead of us, as usual.

Molly was looking at the map, using the Maize-o-Vision glasses...

...when Daniel decided that was cheating and snatched it from her.

Molly and I posed for a picture. 'Cuz that's what we do.

Dad had a go with the glasses.

We even caught Daniel trying them on.

It was pretty fun and we had our cardiovascular exercise for the day. Molly was excited to have some ice cream after we made it out alive.

That night, after church, we took some hoagies over to James and Michelle Thomas' and hung out for a while.

Monday

We met up with Mom and Dad at work and went out to Applebee's for lunch. Then, Mom and Molly picked up Maria from her school so that we could say goodbye. On the way home, we listened to Harry Potter.

THE END

Wow - it does sound like you had fun! You did a lot of stuff.
My favorite is the picture of Daniel stealing the map from Molly - she looks so scared! LOL.
Um, also what are those scary looking eyeball thingies in the entrance of the cave? I'd say they look more threatening than the pumpkins!

hahaha!

Those "scary looking eyeball thingies" are the life preservers on the boats.

Those are boats, Josh. It's an all water cavern, remember? :)
